Class of 2013

Graduation?
It's that time of year already?
Whew.
I whipped up some new pendants that are perfect for your
favorite graduate!
One side of each pendant has Class of 2013.
The other sides have different inspiring thoughts.

Flea market season is in full swing now.

Memorial weekend (Saturday and Sunday)  I'll be at the  Riverside Flea Market in Grafton, IL.
Memorial Day I'll be shopping, not selling, at the Gypsy Caravan Flea Market.

The following weekend, June 1 & 2 you can find me at the Lafayette Square House and Garden Tour in St. Louis.

I can't wait to get out there again to see old friends and meet new customers. I hope you can make it to one of the upcoming events.

Be sure to like Cottage 960 on Facebook for specials I'll be offering at the flea.

Miss E is One!

It went crazy fast. And it's been so much fun.

Miss E has the sweetest, most easy going personality.

She's a wonderfully good sport and tolerates all of Grandma's photography ideas.

I took these a bit before her actual birthday. The weather has been so iffy here this spring, I decided I'd better get them while I could. And we wanted them in time for her birthday.

She really enjoys being outside, and loves the grass and flowers.

She will sit for as long as I need, never gets tired of it.

Even at a year old, still such tiny hands and feet.

Finally got one of her two little teeth.

I made a birthday chalkboard for her. She wasn't much interested in posing with it though.

And of course, the cake smash.
She was pretty low key about it, she liked the whipped cream, but didn't care too much about the cake.

Happy Birthday Evelyn!

I'm so blessed to have you in my life. I'm looking forward to many more birthday celebrations with you. Love you to the moon and back.

trying something new

I really do enjoy soldering. And I love vintage images and art work.
I've found another way to combine the two.

I've been working on a few soldered ornaments using images from the Graphics Fairy, and
some vintage papers and book pages.

I create the art work using Photoshop, print it on archival photo paper and sandwich it between two pieces of glass. These all have vintage sheet music on the backside.
Most of the ornaments are tied with vintage silk seam binding.
Yes, I hoard collect that also. And?

These are made from actual book pages from Beatrix Potter books.
I think they'd be lovely in a nursery.

This darling illustration is from a 1950s Golden Book of Prayers for Young Children.

I don't have any of these in my Etsy shop just yet, but they will all be with me at the next flea in Grafton.  Hope to see you there.
